Every popular one had atleast one active MB, maybe even a couple less active boards. These MB's were run by fans for free, covering hosting and operation costs by selling premium account subs or finding an in-hobby advertiser. It worked well. Around 2012 the thirdies flood began. All those MB's got so flooded with spam most of them eventually shutdown. The hobbiest migrated to FB or reddit, both corporate owned kikesites. All these hobbies got the corpo/PE treatment that OP described. Worse, hobbies that has niches people could sell in (lets say making shit and selling it on ebay or etsy as a side hustle) got flooded by chinks and jeets doing the same. So now all the hobby communities are dead, hosted on FB (which sucks and doesn't even load properly on most computers) or Reddit (which is run by kikejeets who ban IP's for life thus decreasing engagement) and all the while profiteer thirdies have displaced the actual fanbase.Yeah, it sucks man. Used to be able to cover some of my hobbies costs before JeetChinks ruined it.
