I want to take a DNA test. Should I get a 23andme kit or an AncestryDNA kit and why? Are there any differences between those two? Which one is more accurate? Has anyone tried both? What was your experience with them?

I did both 23andMe and Ancestry. Got pretty much same results. The only difference was in the 1 percenters, for example 23andMe said it was Sardinian and Ancestry said South Italy. In another 1% one said Azores and the other company said some other thing like Canary. But other than that pretty much same results. Also, if you wanna connect with relatives both are ok but I find more people in Ancestry lately. I did the tests back in the day, but they update results whenever they change chips. So that’s also good. Also, I’m a genealogist and doing this kind of tests sure helped me find gaps in my family tree, as long as you know how to do it. Finally, I find many relatives you discover there don’t know shit and are just using it like a Facebook kind of thing.
