As kids, we wore the offcuts he didn't use for their clothes. I went to school with the same shirt and trousers all of the time when my Father would modify as we got bigger. It was so many different materials. Of course you would get the kids with better party connections make fun, but there were people worse off than me too who only had shorts all year round because that's what the family had.To stay in the good books, my Father and Mother did a lot for party meetings and visits especially. When a big thing was happening, my Mother would go to help to make food for it. Only then did she ever see such good quality food especially meat. And you had better not steal it because the police would find out.In 1987, my Father fell out of favour with party representatives. I don't know what he did, but he was moved from his job. He then travelled hours per day. One day we got the news that he had died on the job. Because my Father had fallen out, my Mother too was no longer allowed access to help with party meetings or anything. At school I had very little attention paid and always got punishments.This is communism. It is always about who you know and that is all. There is no other way communism can be.
