>>532229451not much. it's a very interesting place though. tons of polar bears. around ~3,000 individuals live there, mostly european (norwegian, other scandis, and russians/ukranians). there is also a significant amount of se asians working in menial positions. anyone can live there though if they are a citizen of a country that signed the svalbard treaty. they have a big seed vault. some tourism. coal mining in barentsburg. a large university for arctic studies. and a lot of science/research/satelites
