Think about it logically. Why would any leftist support open borders and mass migration? It makes no sense. If you support closed shops and labor unions, then it's the same argument. Control the supply of labor so the workers can negotiate for better pay and conditions. Open borders and mass migration allows a race to the bottom where employees lose bargaining power. Same thing with modern leftists supporting free trade. Why bother fighting for higher pay, safe working conditions, environmental regulations, when companies can just close up shop and move production to a country that allows them to undercut all those regulations? Again, it's a race to the bottom. No real leftist would support open borders and free trade.
