The real reason of why they are cutting so many jobs in the US and in the western countries is because they are moving the tech industry to India after Trump and the MIGApedes complained about the H1B visas thus making harder to hiring cheap labor not because AI is "bad" or inefficient. Oracle was already using AI on their main flagship products for years now and they are way more efficient in both cost and performance than their competition. They are also outsourcing more to Indian tech companies like Infosys, which makes the expensive lawful hiring at home with contracts even more rebundant.
