at this point i'm convinced that nations are arbitrary economic zones controlled by capital, and all political parties are deliberately divisive and filibustery so that regime change through politics is impossible, as nobody can ever agree on the right path forward when every perceived option is a bad one. if a party attempts to bridge the partisan divide they get taken out or co-opted. also it's been this way since before democracy was ever invented. i don't think any political party has ever had the power to say no to capital. i'm including communism, fascism, monarchy, and whatever else in this, since they're all thin veneers to mask the centralisation of power and capital into the hands of the already powerful, call them black nobility, elites, reptilians, learned elders, whatever, some secret hierarchy of puppetmasters hiding behind business and politics but the point is they've had control for a long time and this system is designed from the top-down to benefit them and their goals, always has been.
