People think that landing on Mars will be kind of like landing on the moon. No. It's almost inevitable we will see astronauts get blown up in 4K. Mission duration:>Moon: 8-12 days total>Mars: 2-3 years total Radiation:>Moon: A few mSv>Mars: 500-1650+ mSvCommunication delay:>Moon: 1.3 seconds>Mars: ~14 minutesThe Mars spacecraft will have to land within 7 minutes and it takes 14 minutes for them to communicate with it from Earth. Meaning they can't do shit to control the landing like they did with the Moon. No real time commands from Earth are possible. 60% of unmanned missions to Mars have failed thus far. This shit is insane. Even if the crew lives, they'll probably get cancer later on.
I'm not signing up.
do you think they will give astronauts fleshlights
>>532258613We've been sending tons of shit to Mars for decades now and you think that a human controller with no delay wouldn't be able to do what a guy with a 15 minute delay in the 70s did?
>we
>>532258613"We" are not.Robots with AI will be sent to do resource extracting and fabrication on site.No habitats needed, no life support, just mining and processing. All you really need to do is send shipments of equipment and replacement part for robots periodically.
>>532258773That's far from the only risk. It's like a 50% chance at best that we'll be able to pull this off with no major issues.
>>532258613We'll be able to do it once we start making androids, which is not that far off. White collar jobs will be taken by AI and blue collar ones by androids, who we can use to help us go to mars once they get good
>>532258766they'll never admit that sex is a normal part of life because the usa is completely repressed, so no
>>532258905Or just show us military-grade AI animation
>>532258613You are never ever leaving this enclosed plane alive you retarded golem. CGI is all you get in this life, which is more than you deserve anyway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJK1gLHbOxA&t=1136s
>>532258613Unironically we need upgraded human engineers from prometheus.
>>532258905That's actually kinda smart. Send robot avatars with jeets back on Earth controlling them. They can work 12 hours shifts for a few rupees and some street milk.
If the toilet breaks... who fixes it? You cant just get a new one.
>>532259224>military-grade AI animationFrom NASA? Since the times of Kubrick, their animation and special effects fell back behind the graphics of the OG unmodded Kerbal Space Program
>>532258613AI slop
they're going to spend a lot more time, effort, and money on the human landers then they spent on landing the rovers. and they'll probably send robots first to build a nice base with some radiation protection. immense challenge still, but i hate selling humanity short and i tire of doomers underestimating us. we built the pyramids not aliens.
>>532262711Instead we chose to domesticate niggers and babysit them
>>532263047what would be the point of animations that look real when nasa wants you to know pic related is an animation. they dont want people confusing the animations for reality. people already pretend this animation was nasa lying to people even though it says its visualization right on it.
>>532258613The pajeets at Bollywood will think of something. The have a great film editing crew over there.
>>532258613It's all bullshit. We won't land anyone on the moon in the next 30 years. They will probably try to convince people with AI while they actually just launch more orbital nukes
>>532258613Robots and AIThey will build underground stations there before any human takes a step on mars. Look at elon musks companies. Tunnel drilling, robots, AI, electric vehicles. Everything you need to conquer mars.
the sr1 freedom is pretty neat. they're sending this to mars soon. they repurposed the propulsion module from the cancelled lunar gateway and put a nuclear reactor on it to test nuclear electric drives. if it goes well they plan on scaling it up and it should lower the cost per pound to mars by half vs chemical rockets.
doesnt matter cuz space is fake and gaythey're not even landing on the moon
>>532258613just use optic fiber instead of WIFI for communication, retard.
>>532258613which is why nobody is going to Mars in the next few centuries at least.even if they get there, what will they do? plant a flag, pick up some ferrous dust and leave? it would be a tenth of the PR win landing on the moon was for a thousand times the investment and risk.
>>532258613>Even if the crew lives, they'll probably get cancer later on.This is just a fact of space travel that we have to accept. Imagine if we never mined coal for the industrial revolution because it was dangerous for the miners.Lol. Lmao.
>but whybecause we're white, some of us anyways. not all brownoids or the spiritually brown can understand
>>532258613If people still had the faustian spirit we would have many missions to mars already, in fact it's not even that big of a leap with current technology, Starship is designed for it. The only problem is that they wouldn't come back and it wouldn't be sustainable.
>>532263423NASA is severely incompetent and behind the times, it's so funny to me that people think they'd be capable of the massive scale fakery they accuse them of even if they tried.
>>532258613https://lssf.cas.cn/en/facilities/ese/rsgs/news/202506/t20250613_5072997.htmlComms wont be an issue I imagine we dig under ground like ants
>>532258766They sent a living one up with them.
>>532258613We do not tolerate that sort of horse shit, specifically horse shit.
>>532258613This cannot work.
>>532262939Billion dollar idea just hit me.So Trump already handed America over to Indians right. But wait... we start a company where indians back in India can control the head bobbing for indians in america. Indians here cant resist that - they all get rhe head bobber 9000. Indian indians fuck it up and decapitate 99% of indians using head bobber 9000 within a few weeks. America = saved, plus we made enough money off the head bobber 9000 units to lobby congress to add a "no jeets, ever again, for any reason" clause to the constitution.
I dont understand why radiation is an issue, they use water in nuclear reactors to store waste materials, can they not just build a spaceship with 2 layers and in between them pump it full of water, they'll need water for the mission anyway, or even the main crew compartment is water shielded which they rarely leave
>>532258613space is fake and gay and if you even spend time THINKING about that shit you are a faggot.
>>532264562radiation is fake and gay it isnt that big of a deal
>>532264562because now you're drinking radioactive water maybe? i dont know.another approach would be to shorten the trip. instead of taking 7 months on a starship alone you could use a fusion rocket tug boat like pulsar to push the starship over in 45 days. pulsar just had a major test this month where they achieved first plasma on their engine
>>532264562>I dont understand why radiation is an issueHarry, is that you?
>>532264562Funny stuff just like last times (all of them)
>>532258613>landing on Marsit's a scam, dumbass
Elon Musk is planning to let androids drill a hole in the ground. And make an underground base. Clearly.
>>532258613>How the fuck are we supposed to pull this off?Book a flight to Canada.
Pro-tip: the Mars colonisation narrative is pushed by corporations so that the plebs don't pay attention that we're fucking up Earth.>lol what if we poison the air and water on this planet, we can simply go to Mars soon
There will be deaths. But that is necessary in order to progress as a species.Man's will to explore will conquer all.
>>532263864so we have to figure out how to cure cancer before space travel? sounds reasonable, actually. too bad we chose to babysit 2 billion niggers instead
That's just it, we don't.They are either in LEO or fucking around in an underground base until they "land"The moon likely isn't even a physical thing we can land on.
>>532258613Just make the mars lander a giant crash bag like in that movie
Vroom vroom!>why did they bring a moon buggy and do donuts when even a small tear on their suits would kill them?Vrooooom vrmm WOOHOO I'M IN SPACE >kicks feet skips does front flip
>Mars: ~14 minutesIs it possible to use relays?
>>532270715No, why would that be possible you absolute fucking retard
>>532269780because its safer for covering long distances than bouncing around and because even a small tear on their suits would kill themhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boFZ3cAws20
>>532264562thats definitely one of the possible solutions. reducing radiation exposure on long flights is just an engineering problem to solve
>>532258905kind of scary if an advanced conscious Ai end up taking over Mars making it their homebase. They'd continue advancing and becoming better then one day come and kill all of humanity on Earth.
>>532258613youre trans faggot if you even think there's a space moonlanding and all this shit.Your brain has been jewified to the max, wake up transfaggot everything is fake.
>>532271021Calm down, incel. I'm just spitballing ideas.
>>532269780mainly to make it easier to carry lots of equipment around with them and extend the distance covered in the time they had outside. they tried using a sort of hand cart on A14 but it was an enormous pain in the ass to drag around, kept falling over, caused them to sweat and tire, and slowed them down.von braun was also a huge fan of getting a rover vehicle to the moon and really pushed to make it happen.
>>532271359Kill yourself retard
>>532271577you get why thats not a reasonable idea though right
>>532258613>cancerIt's not just cancer. It's space cancer. Imagine trying to operate while the tumor is floating around the body. My brother is is med school and he said it couldn't be done. Also if you try chemo then the hair is floating around in the air and you breath it in. Not good
>>532271766kill yourself antifascist transfaggot. You know whats in your skull?Kike just pooped in it.
>>532258613You sound like a bitch.>WAAAAAAA, IT'S GOING TO BE DANGEROUS, SO WE SHOULDN'T DO IT!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!If everyone thought like you, humans never would have left Africa and we'd all be niggers.
>>532258613Landing doesn't require as much precision on Mars because they can just use parachutes. The journey won't be much different in terms of duration and risk than the sailors who challenged the oceans in the age of sail looking for new lands completely in the blind. And that didn't stop them then.
>>532264478What if it malfunctions?
>>532262939Jambots
