Why do SSRI's and other antidepressants get such a bad wrap in the political circles with memes like "SSRI stare" and so on? Is it because ya'll are too pussy to try them?
Was on it in my teen years, literally makes you the perfect zogslave, can't be too happy, can't be too sad, just going along with whatever. And when you stop you get about 20-30 moments a day where you feel lost for a couple seconds, as if you're incredibly thirtsty or hungry, very weird. Would not recommend.

Quit smoking and it did reduce stress but eventually i realized it sucked all of the emotions out of my life, never sad but never happy, never much of anything but numb. Felt like something was desperately missing from my life. Started engaging in stupid risky behaviors, screwing around with women I shouldn't have, adrenaline junky type shit also. Wrecked a dirt bike and fucked my left leg up, didn't walk for almost a year. Pro tip, coming off of opioids is considerably harder if on certain antidepressants.. not sure if that's common knowledge these days or not but nondoctor ever mentioned it and i learned the hard way. Anyway, it's easy to see how ssri can turn people into sociopaths. No feeling or emotional connection to much of anything means no consideration for the consequences of your actions. They are also extremely hard to quit as another anon mentioned, crazy zaps and other bizarre withdrawal symptoms. Shit should be at least as heavily regulated as opiods and only used as a last resort.
