and they aren't even doing anything except push a button or two to activate an automated task. the first missions they actually had hands-on control and could do something if something goes wrong. this time round they got people perfectly qualified for fixing a toilet.

The amount of brownoid seething about this mission makes me think NASA is secretly based.

why do you think they have no direct control over the spacecraft? you're just making stuff up.
>>
>>532279887
>>532280009
Yes, the entire "spaceship" is remotely controllable and on autopilot anyway. They literally could have sent four random bozos off the street or four ape niggers to the same effect, or even just an empty ship full of instruments or a lander or supply drop for a future moonbase if they wanted scientific value.

The 60s spaceship was actually an engineering marvel, getting so much done with so little, built by smart white people with nothing more complex than slide rules and calculators, flown by actual astronauts who without exemption also just happened to be extremely capable and skilled white men,

>>532280441
The entire flight route it predetermined, and can only changed remotely from terrestrial stations. They are not astronauts, they are passengers.

They gave us computer images like that all the time, what are you talking about? You spaceboys are religous coons, ready to swallow absolutely everything about your atheist god of Space™ nothingness.

You can create globe images like that yourself on a regular photoshop program, there are tutorials even on Youtube how to do that. Then snip it into any environment you like. Do you notice how you shut down your brain in regards to any photoshop and computer graphics when it comes to Space™? Like photoshop and cinematography to create and alter any kind of imagery suddenly does not exist and it is impossible in your mind that the government lies about this. Eery, really fucking eery. You just trust the söyence and the authority of the "$cientific community" that much, your atheist religion and priesthood, that's what it comes down to.

No, retard. It runs on a preprogrammed autopilot , maintained and checked from the ground. The DEI hires aboard do not press a single button, except the radio transmission and toilet flush one. The ONLY time they would be allowed to touch the controls if something incredibly unlikely happens, like an elderly ayy lmao cutting them off while changing spacelanes AND all the ground telemetry stations were somehow offline.

In all of the photos in the past it was impossible to get stars on the photo...
People noticed
And now all of a sudden it's possible to get stars on the photo.

In the past it was impossible to get a full shot of the Earth...

And now all of a sudden that they get a full shot of the earth.
Did they do this mission specifically to gaslight everybody?
I really can't see any other reason for the mission. "Let's fly around the Moon for absolutely no reason and it will cost billions"

I have about 18 months left where if I don't get a better job or a raise, I will be forced out of a studio apartment. I will not be able to afford to take most of my stuff with me. Fines will force me to be homeless for at least a month. I also have a gallstone that I cannot afford to remove this year. I am working full time in a researcher job with an MS. I have no student debt. I make $105k. It’s just that jobs don’t give raises and every position has had decreasing salaries as we fill them with H1Bs. I will still be able to qualify for a studio but it will be an hour drive and due to fines on my existing place I am readying a gym membership and finding places I can sleep in my car until I get the new contract. I am basically taxed into poverty. I am about to have a studio with a camping mattress and sleeping bag. A little over a year out from now if I don’t get at least a 4% raise. Cost to rent just goes up faster than my wages, which don’t go up. 12 years into my career and I have less buying power than I started with and only $112k in a 401k. This is bullshit.how the fuck am I supposed to care about DEI space programs? Did we really drop billions just so a black guy could be 13th to step on the moon??? What the fuck.

Correct
The question is, why the flying fuck are they using high ISO for this shot? The earth is ridiculously bright. If you ever tried taking a shot of the moon, you'd know that you can easily bump the shutter speed to 800 and leave the ISO at 100, and shoot it handheld.
Don't NASA know how to operate a camera?
>>
>>532281578
So like every flight you've ever been on. As soon as they hit cruising altitude they turn the autopilot on and it only gets turned off if something goes wrong or on final approach.

Rocket flights have always been largely automated, even going back to the first manned flights - the Mercury Seven used to joke that they were just 'spam in a can'. The flights, especially on later rockets, were designed so that astronauts only needed to manually activate a few stage releases or do a few manual maneuvers like module captures.

The launches themselves are too complex to trust to manual control for anything except a launch abort action, and once you're through the first part of orbital insertion or on the transfer orbit path there's really nothing to do but cruise for hours or days on end. SpaceX flights work the same way - 90% of the actual flight is computer controlled and humans are just there for the ride or if shit goes wrong.

The planet is clearly lit, and there are no other light sources available than the sun. What are you talking about?
>>
>>532283405
I am terrified of space but would be awestruck instead of terrified looking at earth. Would be rad if you could get a camera to look at it on a timelapse of the mission, until landing.
>>
>>532294087
>The planet is clearly lit, and there are no other light sources available than the sun.
It's being lit by the light reflected off the Moon. It's a low-light photograph with a light-sensitive camera. That's why you can see the stars.

yes, but not by direct sunligjht. what else could it be do you think?

The sun is behind the earth, you can even see where it's shining trough the atmosphere (not directly) and it's absolutely blinding the image. You can even see stuff like city lights that would obviously not be visible during the day

True, that might have been the intent here, but why the flying fuck. Completely ruin the first real shot of the entire planet, just to get some white dots in the background?
And refuse to release a RAW?

There's plenty of photos from the Apollo missions with stars. They're just all low-light, long exposure film shots so they look like crap.

The in-flight Hasselblad cameras along took something like 20-25K photos during the Apollo missions, only a handful of which get circulated with any regularity because most of the photos are just boring routine shit or photos of random pieces of equipment or random rocks instead of photogenic glamour shots.
>>
>>532294494
maybe he's not shooting RAW. and yes, the light relfecting off the earth is sufficient to enable photos.. maybe look into it. you could even note how bright things appear on a full moon when you're outside and just extrapolate from that

Africa but it's upside down compared to what you are used to. You can see the strait of Gibraltar in the bottom left.

That's how everything that flies works, you third world moron
The plan is to land humans on the moon alive, and bring them back alive. We already sent one of these ships around the moon with nothing in it. Next we need to know how the craft performs in deep space with a real human crew aboard, which requires you to put real humans in it, which is what we're doing now. The next flight will test the landing module and lunar suits while in orbit, and then next year it's human boots on lunar soil again.

In the photo, the sun is behind the Earth. This is lit by moonglow. The exposure value is extremely low which is why they used 51200 1/4s. But it also means we get stars and aurorae. If they had a sunlit earth, yeah it's going to be ISO 100 and fast shutter speed without noise, aurorae, or stars unless they HDR that shit.

>>532294494
>Completely ruin the first real shot of the entire planet,

It's a long-exposure shot of the night side of the Earth being illuminated by a full moon, taken from the first craft to take humans to the moon in 50 years. That's a very cool shot
>>
>>532295004
ALSJ is great, and there's thousands of photos of unprocessed photos posted as well. I remember seeing one that captured a not-too-bad shot of the Pleiades from I think 16 or 17.

not to mention the fact their navigation computer was set by looking at stars too

Much respect, but I believe we are having ayy lmao tech stored somewhere and rockets are getting kind of obsolete.

This is the next frontier, who first will reverse engineer and make a real anti gravity space craft. Will it be Americans or Russians? Time will tell
