So in order to quell internal problems it needs external enemies. All democracies need this. Going back to Greece, democracies flourished most in times of international conflict. So Israel needs enemies, fine. It has them. Palestinians, Lebanese etc. But these are weak enemies on the verge of conquest. Israel really needs a strong enemy. And it has it in Iran. I would argue that Israel has carefully nurtured Islamic revolution in Iran. It certainly had the means. It planned this. The ayatollah the conservative islam all of it. The Iranian people are swept up in this mess. By using a conservative element as an authority you can only uphold and cement it by criticism, that citicism cost the 30.000 lives recently . 30,000 families. Arguably the best beople. Horiffic loss of life. And instead of letting the re-revolution take place what has Israel done?
