Do you watch TV at all anymore? I only put on sportsball but don't really pay attention, it's just there in the background while I do stuff. No netflix/amazon/etc. or even the local news. It's all so trash and has been for years now. In the evenings I'll read & browse the internet.

As for the antenna, you can buy "digital" antennas but any metal that you can connect with a coax cable will work. Again, it's easy to find something at a thrift store. I'm using Archer rabbit ears from the 1980s for a CRT TV that I use. The quality of digital reception is more a function of where you live than what you use to pull in the signal.
