It is inevitable with Sola Scriptura. Eventually someone with influence interprets the bible the way they want to (Scofield bible) and then people take that as Gospel.

The Catholic and Orthodox church don't have this problem as they follow the church fathers and have apostolic succession to keep them grounded in the original meaning of everything.
