ARTEMUS 2 can't even land on the moon in 2026. We MIGHT be able to land on the moon in 2028.

ARTEMUS 4 will require more fuel (60 years later), than Apollo 11 needed to land on the moon and return back.

Americans are heavier today than they were in the 60s.

It's the funeral of NASA, what do you expect.

The lander is going to be Elon Musk's baby but Starship is running late which is why I think they delayed it. He seems mad about the program too, he didn't even congratulate them for the Artemis II launch. The thing is kinda fucking insane too, SpaceX is essentially just repurposing their Mars rocket for the contract which doesn't seem ideal.

There is no "mars" rocket. Stop gobbling empty marketing semen.

That's what Starship is specifically designed for, I don't know what you're trying to imply.
Their tentative pricing is $100 million per metric ton to the Mars surface which is about 22x cheaper than other options.

All I see is empty marketing, like when he said he'd put a man on Mars by 5 years ago or whatever.
Where's the fucking hyperloop?

Well yeah they're running late and musk is always overly optimistic about timelines, that doesn't change the fact that SpaceX eventually delivers (and is still an order of magnitude faster than other agencies).

How many years did the Apollo program take to put a man on the moon?
>>
crazy they just landed on moon first try back in the 60s. all while russians were first to space, first man in space, first in orbit, etc. but no one ever went back. crazy.
>>
>>532312908
They went back more than once after the first time…

>all while russians were first to space, first man in space, first in orbit, etc
They were unable to send man into space and get him back alive. Komarov was first but died in the crash. Gagarin's flight was a hoax.
