>>532311708We own a ranch in Southeast Texas. The original family (Spaniards) have gravestones on the property placed from 1598 to 1621. There are German settlers buried there later. There were European settlers all over North America going out independently.
>>532311708Yes the south was mostly settled by migrants from places like virginia and hillbillies from up north, what will really throw you for a loop is they settled pretty much everywhere else too, even the southern half of the midwest. So yeah the megacity NYC/boston corridor is pretty much culturally irrelevant despite hosting all the esteemed colleges, infrastructure and finance and claiming to be the the preeminent culture in the US (it doesn't exist, they have no culture they're an economic zone see: melting pot)
