I mean it's not complicated: while using these other planes are supposed to fly SEAD missions, so the A-10 has to worry only about manpads and AA artillery, which it can tolerate.Blindly flying it into an air defense network is like keeping your submarine on the surface, and an A-10 still has some advantages over a large drone, if you can afford to lose some pilots.
