A few downed planes and a couple hundred dead soldiers doesn’t mean Iran is winning.

Their country has been flattened, their arsenal is halved (and soon it will be depleted entirely), their infrastructure is destroyed, their old leadership has been entirely erased. The US is controlling the sky and going wherever they please.

Mark my words, in a few weeks time Iran will be forced to surrender, and they will have achieved nothing. Their entire country will be destroyed. Trump is going to destroy all their energy production and is going to steal their oil. There is no great underdog story here, might is might and the US is going to walk out of this having totally crushed Iran. How badly as we want ZOG and Israel to lose, it isn’t gonna happen, life isn’t a movie and the US military is far too powerful.

The strait is not a military objective and is largely irrelevant to the US economy. So prices go up. Big whoop. If the countries that actually need it open to survive want to open it themselves they are free to do so.

What if their arsenal is provided by China? It possible just the way Europa provides weapons to the Ukraine. Good luck depleting what China can produce.

If that’s the case then Iran can sustain this for longer, but

1. There is no solid reason to believe China is supplying them with weapons
2. They would still be running on borrowed time if their energy and means of production/transportation within the country is completely obliterated

Their only leverage thus far is holding the straight hostage, since any small chance of them blowing up tankers means that insurance is not gonna cover anyone and premiums are through the roof.

You're behind on your reading about the McNamara fallacy and are currently in the denial stage of coping.

It's not really about depleting their arsenal though it would be a nice bonus. The real goal is to make Iran into a failed state. We can lose the war. That's fine. At the end of it all Iran will have no oil production, no power plants, no water facilities, no bridges, no civilian infrastructure in general. We can do that from the air over the next few years. After that, we will "lose" the war and go home. The strait can stay closed while we do that over the next few years too. The US will survive. People will pay higher prices but things will ultimately be just fine at home.

In return, the U.S. loses its moral authority, its military reputation, and its negotiating legitimacy. The dollar is already beginning to be replaced by the yuan, and Iran can stabilize itself through clever trade policies and rise to become a regional power. Furthermore, you’re ignoring Israel’s role and domestic political friction in the US. The overextension into compensatory debt financing will, in turn, lead to dictatorial consolidation in an attempt to somehow keep the whole thing together.

I think Iran can destroy Israel before we destroy Iran. But that's just rough math. Israel will be destroyed in our lifetime, Inshallah. Truly a victory for mankind.
