Can someone explain?

Biden's gas price spike coincided with months of 400,000+ jobs being created, month after month. This makes sense cause that means more people driving to work and gas getting more expensive.

But Trumps gas price spike doesn't seem the same. It happens after a year of basically NO JOB creation. So why is it spiking just as high as it did when Biden was president?

I just can't make sense of it. Demand is way, way lower so price should drop, right???

It has nothing to do with employment, causation /= correlation. This supply shock is the largest in human history

I've honestly not heard such a convincing argument that people were getting dumber until I clicked on this thread. Thanks, OP. Really proving the lowest common denominator can keep getting lower.

But when Biden's spike happened we all blamed him like he was personally forcing the prices to rise. Yet it looks like it was because of classic demand; more jobs means more demand for gas.

So this time, Trump causes an actual crisis while job creation has been so bad it seemed to have lowered gas prices for a few months prior to his fuckup.

Shouldn't everyone be WAY WAY WAY more pissed about this?

Try again tomorrow
>>
>>532322137
Makes sense.

Look at the months leading upto the spike. Millions of new jobs were created. The lowest was still above 200,000. Like 800,000 jobs were still being created for a few months DURING the spike.

So it makes sense. More people needed gas which drove up prices.

>of 400,000+ jobs being created, month after month.
>by DNC Democrats
1. Fake numbers
2. They hired huge number of teachers (paid of course by taxpayers)
3. They hired half a million mostly DEI US gov workers.
>(paid of course by taxpayers)
>>
>>532321457
>It happens after a year of basically NO JOB creation.
Trump fired a lot of parasites, US gov workers.
And Biden and covid destroyed Middle class, so we lost LOTS of real jobs.
It will take years to restore real jobs and real economy .
>>
>>532322165

There was still stimulus going through the economy in 2022, the economy was stronger. and 2022 inflation was triggered by a commodity spike caused by the ukraine war. There were also still supply chain constraints from covid.
>>
>>532322519
Oh thats right. That fucking retard Putin started a retarded war and THAT spiked prices. I forgot cause everyone was saying "this is Biden's fault" and putting those stickers on gas pumps.

Gee golly.

So it makes sense that another fucking retard started another retarded war and spiked gas prices AGAIN
>>
>>532321457
because the prices go up due to (((stock))) market and speculation and jews panicking about it. Literally stock market is the reason of all modern economy shit, including housing.
when occupy wallstreet happened, you saw how zog reacted
>>
>>532321457
anon, biden's job numbers were literally fake
>>
>>532321888
My guess is they wanted to drive the price down with high rates specifically so that when they attacked Iran the price would be stable and not jump to $400 a barrel or something retarded when the economy is doing well.

Zoom out. These are the covid jobs slowly getting reintroduced (reported) again. There was no real job creation during that time.

>This makes sense cause that means more people driving to work and gas getting more expensive.
Oil proce doesnt really reflect domestic demand in the US. It’s not a free nor mainly domestic market. OPEC and mainly big and small speculators are the main drivers. Remember this was also after an unprecedented monetary expansion wich started during lockdowns, so noone had any idea of the effects when the economy opened.
Anyway, Money velocity increased sharply because the economy opened again, manifesting the effects of two years of expansion in the real economy and noone had any idea how it would play out.
Add a lagging global supply chain and general price-uncertainty at Opec and speculators what the new real price would be. Speculators bought and sold at a premium to global companies who gladly paid premium to get their operation going again because thats statistically cheaper than uncertainty or what a standstill costs. There was a competition to get oil, fast again.
Now, Hormus has speculators buying and selling at premiums again. Big companies rather have their oil now and pay more than not getting it at all. Additional freight time is about to be priced in and let’s see what opec does. Adjust your chart for inflation and i bet it‘s not as bad as 2022 and will normalise soon.

But thats a really nice narrative you are going for but anyone with a few braincells already knew you will spin it like this. Come on, unprecedented job creation lmao. As if there was no shutdown and lockdown. The people stupid enought to believe that are already voting for you so what’s the point? (rhetorical question)
>>
>>532321457
The problem is you believe the job numbers, you think they are related to oil prices and your talk like a fag and your shits all retarded
>>
>>532322137
It’s basic economics dumbass, I’m sorry it’s confusing for you. You either get high unemployment / low inflation or low unemployment / high inflation, only retarded chud faggots like Trump and Nixon have been able to pull off high unemployment / high inflation, it’s pretty tough to do but when you suck as much Jew jizz as Donnie it becomes possible.
>>
>>532321457

>>
>>532322165
Biden had a stronger economy that actually managed to suppress inflation. Trump is causing record inflation due to tariffs, gutting social services, starting wars, and getting quagmired in Iran. The US can survive anyone of these, but all of them? Not a chance.

“ The emergency reserves of oil that are in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve are designed for international crises or for natural disasters, instead of being used for mitigating bad energy policy as Biden is doing. Some have suggested that he has transformed the SPR into the “Strategic Political Reserve,” implying his sales are political responses to his aggressive assaults against domestic energy production. With Biden supplying global oil markets with U.S. oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, he is depleting our oil reserves and hurting U.S. national security, while China is adding to its national reserves by buying SPR oil from Biden’s Department of Energy and by also buying cheap oil from Russia.”

Biden was one of worst US presidents in history and op is a moron who doesn’t know shit about economics or energy markets.

You can easily supress inflation if you reduce Money velocity artificially. Remember lockdowns etc. If you print money now it takes time to reflect in prices, this is practically directly dependent on money velocity. But in the end it’s just a party trick to control when it hits. If you do not have a rapidly expanding economy in real terms at the same time compared to pre-expansion, in this case covid, it’s just hitting later.

biden had an obscenely large amount of gov employees that signficantly padded the job numbers

At least you get paid so i cannot rally blame you.
The actually hilarious thing with these centrally coordinated narratives is that you just must Imagine those slow-brained boomers sitting in meeting rooms all day, being very serious, assuming they are in control and really really smart while larping as some macheviallian global elite. Only to come up with absolutely retarded shit like this.
Any twenty year old occasionally checking the news can see right through it.
They will never know because all the info they back with their reports is muddied by their own ppropaganda. Wich they eat right up and react to creating a feedback loop. They live in a paralell universe of their own creation and the longer this goes on, the funnier the reality check will be.

Still higher numbers than we've seen in the last 12 months and Trumps numbers revise downward as well.

We lost jobs in December, for example.
