They're worried about being subjected to the LLM equivalent of keyword stuffing attacks which plagued search back in the day, and don't have a good strategy.
Google's AI is surprisingly good in this regard, has reliable current event coverage up to about 24 hours ago, not especially biased in favor of any country, eg gives highly realistic assssments of what's going on in the middle east with strengths and weaknesses of both sides, also good for providing timely or academically-validated reference material.
