The case dates back to April of 2025, when the victim, a 14-year-old male student, alleges he was pinned down and sexually assaulted on multiple occasions involving at least four male classmates during a school field trip to Costa Rica. Tuesday morning, 15 year old Dominic Kim, who is being charged as an adult, appeared in front of a judge. Kim is one of the teen suspects named in court documents for his alleged involvement in the recording and sharing of videos depicting the April 2025 incident. In addition to Kim, 15-year-old Vaughn Griffith has also been charged as an adult for his alleged involvement and is now faced with charges for the possession of visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of a child.>Within the court documents, the allegations depict three separate incidents that took place during the school trip. Statements made to Las Vegas Metro Police detectives alleged Griffith and Kim recorded videos via Snapchat of the incidents alongside two other male classmates who allegedly took part in the assault, which involved pinning down, disrobing, and sexually penetrating the male victim with objects and one of the teen's genitalia. The teens named are not facing sexual assault charges, but are, however, facing charges that include possession of a visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of a child, and two counts of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment.
