i had that same problem last year at work when outlook replaced itself with some new version that wouldn't accept our email adddresses as valid. the old outlook just gave us a "you can't use me anymore message".our email provider did the heavy lifting for us and wound up getting the old version working again after a day of fucking around with microsoft support, with a warning that it will probably happen again the next time microsoft foists it's bullshit on users.
