They're doomed, thanks to street-shitters.

The solution was just to reinstall Outlook
It's already been fixed

of course the jeet srolling western porn clicked yes.

Why are they using email or why not just an encrypted radio transmission for internet?

emails can be encrypted

it'll be fun when windows turning off all the software to install forced windows update when someone turned on observational module and the craft veered off the course during it

Why didn't she just ask her Copilot for help?
>>
i had that same problem last year at work when outlook replaced itself with some new version that wouldn't accept our email adddresses as valid. the old outlook just gave us a "you can't use me anymore message".
our email provider did the heavy lifting for us and wound up getting the old version working again after a day of fucking around with microsoft support, with a warning that it will probably happen again the next time microsoft foists it's bullshit on users.
>>
of course nasa uses microshit
>>
>>532331998
I think Outlook is for their personal shit like family / talking with news organizations etc

Kek. Or if the entire thruster system got bricked and they got shot off into space after passing the moon.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Imagine being such a stupid retarded goy that you use Microsoft applications for anything.

Imagine giving jeets in macroshart access to your national space program lmao
God I despise modern outlook so fucking much. It's getting progressively worse with every single update

HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY SO FUCKING RETARDED?

I remember when they rolled out “new” Outlook and it was a fucking disaster, literally half the features of outlook didn’t work or were missing entirely

I'm surprised the rocket didn't blow up on launch. The level of incompetence to think that was a good idea. They'd be lucky to make it home alive.

Wow. As someone who has worked on code where improperly handled or overlooked errors can result in fatalities (pacemaker, cars, industrial controllers) I am absolutely floored that they have Microsoft products on networked systems on space shuttles. That's so fucking irresponsible I'm not even sure what to think. Given the rate of malfunction, not to mention security issues, I don't see how these decisions were made. If they die due to Microsoft Office Suite or Cortana/Copilot/Clippy acting as a vector for a system malfunction or a hack, first I will laugh really hard, then I will get on tiny soapbox and remind everyone that tech isn't a "product" for "profit" anymore: It's infrastructure, and needs to be treated like infrastructure. Then I will remind everyone that this is because we let monopolies/duopolies/cartels etc. bribe politicians to win contracts, and artificially suppress competition. People die everyday because of less visible, more mundane errors. Now the indian CEO is outsourcing American computing infrastructure to India, where they don't care whether or not an error literally kills an American or 4, destroys a multi-billion dollar piece of equipment, or creates a vector for foreign nations to conduct espionage against us.

We have come to a point, where profit is at odds with national security, and regular-ass good old consumer safety.

Every time someone crashes a car because the driver-assist prevents a driver from a life-saving swerve, an executive needs to go to prison.

The complex, cascading, critical failures that result from vibe-coding over the next two decades are going to have spectactular body counts.

>The complex, cascading, critical failures that result from vibe-coding over the next two decades are going to have spectactular body counts.
Look at the bright side: at some point the tech debt will be so bad that a ton of software will have to be completely shit canned and started over from scratch using modern coding standards instead of continually kludging stuff from the 80s into the modern age.
>>
>>532335643
>started over from scratch using modern coding standards
Yeah, that sounds great, until you realize it's all going to be rewritten in Rust
>>
>>532335699
I know basically nothing about languages outside of Python, what's so bad about Rust? All I know about it is that one of the top Linux neckbeards has decreed that all new shit will be in Rust.
>>
>>532330168
>catastrophic failure
They couldn't sent emails from Outlook. That's not a catastrophe you retard.
>>
>>532335850
>what's so bad about Rust
I don't actually know either, I haven't really looked into it deeply
I just know that there's a lot of pushback about how counter-intuitive and obscure a lot of their basic features are, and the performance is apparently not great either
>>
>>532335699
Rust is awesome. I like it way more than any language I have had to learn. The issue is most old guys have no clue how to use it, most young guys don't have the skill to make anything like an OS.
>>
>>532335081
Isn’t it really cool how all the stupid people who insist they are not stupid people and that they have great ideas were allowed to do things, but the intelligent people who carefully explained exactly why what they were doing was probably a good idea got treated like they knew nothing and were ignored? It’s like I had to do everything in life absolutely perfect and it was still never good enough but everyone else gets to just show up and do whatever the fuck they want like it’s still the second grade sandbox.
>>
>>532330168
Microsoft is more or less fucked at this point. They went all in on Agentic OS and it bit them hard in the ass after this fiasco after seeing how Copilot caused the mission to flop.
>>
>>532330168
Yea the microshit suite sucks
My work makes us use it but I try to avoid it as much as possible, it's so slow and unreliable and constantly bothering you with popups or logins, such a terrible experience. They are hard carried by 30yo software that has been patched up and loaded with bloat for decades.
>>
>>532336203
>It’s like I had to do everything in life absolutely perfect and it was still never good enough but everyone else gets to just show up and do whatever the fuck they want like it’s still the second grade sandbox.
this has been my mental struggle for years now.
the bank randomly changed the credit cards at my parents' business and fucked them up for months while they had vendors angrily reporting declined transactions.

parents made all manner of excuse for the bank fucking that up and accused me of worrying about ridiculous "what if"s and "what could be"s

these 'ridiculous' worries were shit like "if a business doing a million dollars in business a year can be treated like this and they won't say boo, how will the bank feel they can treat a normal, basic fucking customer?". my parents were always so fucking critical of me too. told "don't drink and drive". so i drank and stayed the night with some friends.
grounded for a month at age 17 for shit my peers had been doing for years already. by parents that accused me of being undersocialized and living in a shell.

i am so mad at my life

>updation failed
type updation etymology into google get this

Formation: It is a morphological derivation (update + -ion) formed within English.
Usage Context: It is frequently used in Indian, Pakistani, and sometimes South Asian English, but is not considered standard in British or American English, where "update" serves as both noun and verb.

So long as they aren't using it for mission-critical... *remembers they sent a woman into space that lost the tools in orbit, twice, and that one crazy bitch that drilled holes into the space station to get sent home earlier due to the emergency situation she created with this and the space witch with that other guy unable to return because they used a Boeing return capsule that didn't fucking work*
What am I saying... modern times are retarded. Everyone involved will probably suffer.
