Does /pol/ think there's a common theme in terms of "players" in the grander scheme of things. Remember when Nixon and McNamara were fucking around - now compare them to Trump and Hegseth. Both do a "moon" mission after military blunders... both urgently had to print money because the US was fucked (hence they took it off the gold standard in order to print). Also, ironically... "if we can't trade in the petrodollar, we'll just take over the oil and sell in dollars." Thoughts?
