When I was a kid we didn't think about that kind of faggot shit. We didn't care. I barely remember drinking water that didn't come out of garden hose. I think I went a whole summer eating only hot dogs and bluegills.

There were far more rainbows. I remember a ton of rainbows when I was very young. I remember this one rainbow distinctly, and from it I learned the gag about the end of the rainbow. There is no end of the rainbow. The edge of it was about 50 yards in front of me. It was an enormous rainbow as well. It seemed to stretch forever. I could see the base bracket near me, right near a creek bed. I was going to get my pot of gold, pol. No such luck. When I ran to the edge, it kept moving further and further afield.

I also remember a much bluer and clearer sky. We didn’t have all these hazy days. The sky had big puffy billious clouds. Not this nappy stringy and sloppy clouds. The kind of clouds you could stare at and they’d assume the form of animals and such. I used to lay down and look up at the sky often…wondering what God was up to.

Yeah, we didn’t eat the hell outta some fried fish back in the 80s. That was a very common thing you don’t see anymore. We ate a lot of crappy, bass, perch and catfish. Perch is my favorite lake fish. It was so much fun. When crappy are really biting, you can pull one in on every single cast. I one day caught 116 crappy. I’ll never forget that. It was the craziest thing. Literally every single cast. It was a yellow jug. Never lost it or had to change it. 116 fish on one lure.
Pol should do a fish fry.
