I don’t understand why Trump is dabbling with birthright citizenship that will go nowhere when he either could ban remittances or slap like a 90% tax on it for 18 months and every single fucking immigrant in USA would immediately pack their bags and leave.
There's nothing wrong with remittances.When you earn American dollars and send those overseas, there are 2 possible final fates of that money:>1. Eventually it comes back to America, to be spent on American goods/servicesSo it's a wash. A cash reserve has the same effect as far as Americans are concerned.>2. It's gone forever, never to returnSo it's slightly anti-inflationary. It's the same as destroying money; it doesn't affect anyone except the person whose money it actually is, in this case a foreigner.
