Yes bread kept our ancestors alive but the modern idea of "enough food" is very different to what they would consider enough.
So fatties shouldn't stuff their face with bread, rice or pasta before an evening of sitting at the computer for example.

Some people don't have the appropriate enzymes for baked carbs. I say some, it's quite a lot of people. All bloodgroup O people.
Carbs are shit for their health, especially sugars. It's too sour and they don't break the sugar down fast enough to offset that.
I'm type O and never had a sugar rush.
Meat however, as long as it's not too much in one go, directly gives me energy because I have the enzymes to do that.
My stool improved and became consistent when I cut out all the wheat. I still consume +85% chocolate but the bloat is minimised, it's minned instead of maxxed.

Point being, everyone's got different dietary needs.
A baseline ratio of 4:2:0,01 fat:protein:carb works for many but tinkering with it gets you where you need to be.

I simply cut all carbs and have lost 75lbs since September. The side benefit is when you cut carbs, you also cut out 90 % of goyslop. Goyslop utterly revolves around carbs and sugars, and I'm so glad to have made the difference

When my activity goes down I eat fewer carbs, but find they’re the easiest way to gain weight when I want to gain weight. Just know roughly how much you’re eating and you’ll be fine. Fun fact. Humans did not get cavities prior to the invention of bread and bread like foods. Animals dont have to brush their teeth because they dont eat bread and processed sugar. By the way, as far as your metabolism is concerned there is very little difference between carbs and sugar. The healthiest food is the least processed food. Baking bread, while fairly benign, is a form of processing. The closer you can get to “i pulled this off a tree” or “i dug this out of the ground” or “i fucking stabbed this thing in the woods” the healthier the food is(with few exceptions), because thats what we evolved to deal with over millions of years.
