Mechs from sci-fi in general are extremely hard counter against your common warfare since they are designed around mobility, high defense and precision which is why military combat in these kind of settings revolves around having mechs fight. They are also usually powered by some sci-fi fuel that makes them last for a very long time. Love the designs in Xenoblade X and the fact they have a ground combat, ground mobility, air combat and air mobility modes. Technically funnels which are automated drones with guns are overpowered as hell. In the UC universe both Amuro and Char use them and they're the main characters.Nuff said.
