Time to invest into solar + battery system? I'm thinking replacing gas heating system with heat pump. Will this pay off fast?

It's actually not very expensive after you get all government benefits for it, make your money back in 5 or so years, but my favorite part is the seamless total household transition to backup power in event of a blackout. I do not have to reset my clocks every time if power goes out.
>>532378292I do also have a large auxillary backup generator wired into my shit because it is possible to lose power for weeks at a time. Tbh, if we had an outage now fuel is so expensive I'd just let it go and use an outhouse/bring inside ice to cool the freezers and shit.
