what are the implications of losing taiwan?
>>
>>532373907
wait...
When did we own Taiwan? They're not ours to lose, you imperialist asshole.

If America doesn't intervene, the rest of SEA no longer has any reason to believe we'll back them up in case of any future conflicts with China and they'll naturally drift further into the CCP's sphere of influence. If America does intervene and fails, the same thing happens but 10x more intensely.

ASML would activate the TSMC kill switch and the entire world would be permanent deprived of advanced computing chips. This would crash China's economy because they need those chips for exports. It would result in Great Depression level GDP contraction of up to 30%. The whole world would feel it as well. Advanced electronics would no longer be produced. The AI bubble would pop. The US economy would crash as well as the EU.

Imagine all the export restrictions the US placed on computer chips to China. Now imagine China doing the reverse because all the chips are made in Taiwan.

That's not how it works because the chip fabs have a remote kill switch that would brick everything.

Since September 8, 1951

If you lose taiwan you lose S korea in 10 years
then japan
all of them also "peacefully" as you simply stop being a credible power player in world affairs

SEA isn't Iran where they have a mountain range and a narrow passage for defense. There's also far more military bases in the pacific than there is in the ME, if the US loses the ME and the navy is freed up then that makes the US even more intimidating because supply chains are so delicate in Asia compared to goatfuckers getting pumped up by Russian food imports.

yes thats your future basically
a world-menacing pirate nation randomly seizing cargo and oil ships due to some infraction you made up like trump has been doing
all while the rest of the world will politely give these ships as to appease your current demagoge and not incurr an invitation to your forever wars (TM)

It'll accomplish exactly the opposite. Our military will look like a joke on the world stage.

Men of class and distinction, welcome.

Why are Americans so obsessed with policing the world? you guys are like what, 300 mil people? that is not nearly enough to be present everywhere all at once, it simply is unsustainable the longer you think about it
I mean Iran alone is giving you a headache and bombing all of your bases around it, and these people have been under sanctions for decades, Imagine trying to go against current China in their own turf, utterly unwinnable.

It's not an exaggeration to say it means the end of democracy in East Asia in near future if it happens through a military invasion
Most people think it wouldn't happen any time soon tho
