Not many people know this, but the majority of shaped- molten copper- charge IED's in the Middle East appearing in the last decades are of Iranian origin. The Germans developed this tech in WW2 but the Iranians have become absolute masters at using it in various ways, besides roadside IED's they have been using multiple direction shaped charges in their Shahed drones. Once you know how, these type of bombs are very simple and cheap to make, leading to a wide spread quickly across battle areas. No armor is able to stop these jets of superhot superfast moving molten copper. It is the reason we have been seeing small charges carried by FPV drones in Ukraine take out multi million dollar tanks in a single strike. A large part of Coalition fatalities in Afghanistan and Iraq were due to these Iranian made roadside IED's. This is a big part of the reason why a ground invasion of Iran will cost many American boys life and limb, as the Israelis wont be participating. The Iranians have been preparing for decades with this tech for exactly this scenario on their home turf, including decentralising their entire military. The US command knows very well Iran is a death trap.
