Seriously, can anyone afford to do things that just used to be normal? I used to go to a baseball game with my family as a kid, and it was a treat but nothing they needed to reverse mortgage the house on. Now, you have to pay $45 for a hot dog. It’s everywhere. I can only afford to stay home on my time off now, because leaving the house involves gas, buying food, and spending on frivolousness.
>>
The ticket to a rox game is $11, you can afford a 2lb wiener

youre a fucking retard if you still live in the US

Going to baseball games is literally optional
>>
White hot dogs can't compete
>>
>>532383861
You can literally go to a Rockies game for less than $10 a ticket. Venue pricing on food as always been outrageous. Eat before you go.
>>
Go to store, buy 45 dollars of buns and dogs, you'll have more than a pound of meat
>>
Tickets for Detroit Tiger games in the 80's were like 6 and 7 dollars, or $14 for the seats behind the plate that you couldn't get. General Motors had all of those. Or you could pay $2 to sit in the center field bleachers with the niggers.

I remember my dad once talking about going to Red Wings games in the 60's. Tickets were $2. You didn't have to think about whether or not you could make your mortgage payment next week. The only consideration was, do you want to go or not? Anybody paying for sportsball is a fool.
>>
For metric chads, thats 0.45kg. At 100dollars/kg that low quality trash has pretty hefty price tag

Haven't done anything normal since the start of the pandemic. But I can afford to maintain a healthy drug addiction, so it can't be all that bad.

Everytime I leave the house, other than for work, it typically costs $200. We still do stuff, but it's become a lot less frequent.

>>
I will never say that ghetto shit out loud. That is a hot dog or a red hot.
>>
everything is outrageously expensive these days. Doesn't matter what you do. You can go on a trip to the zoo and it will cost you $200 by end of the day. It's like "going out" itself is billed as some premium experience. I remember in the 90s going out was just shit you did to kill time and the cost was negligible. a single twenty dollar bill could go far.

Maybe both.

>I used to go to a baseball game with my family as a kid

Why? I can't think of a worst way to spend my leisure time. Imagine spending $50 on a ticket and sitting in the hot sun all afternoon to watch a bunch of Dominicans, Cubans, and Puerto Ricans play a boring slow game in a city they probably can't even pronounce. Do you also pay niggers to attend your local 'Kill Whitey' festival?
>>
>>532385377
Yep. And, as usual for anything else, it's the "workers" (players in this case) and their fucking unions that ruined it and made everything expensive. The owners of these teams have to keep jacking up the prices of everything to pay the outrageous contracts of these players. Contracts they wouldn't have if there were no players' union.

venue pricing is totally normal in korea and japan. Maybe a 10% mark-up, and there are food vendors and normal vending machines right outside the venue. weird how only the US is like this (even though the US government also subsidizes these stadiums)

same. thats interesting. the act of going out is prohibitively expensive now. doesnt look good, i'll be honest about it, it doesnt look good. people soon are going to be home 24/7 with e-helmets on and pumps on their penis and stuff. maybe pumps up their rectums

buying anything at a sportsball game is retarded expensive anyway

I get paying a premium for stadium/arena food and beverage prices but this is beyond outlandish. I'm wondering if for that price there's at least options to load it up with saeurkraut, onions, peppers, cheddar cheese... or would that be extra?

sports venues are notorious for charging 10x the normal price for anything. non retarded people just eat some snacks before the game or bring in a bag of trail mix.
>>
>>532391216
fuck i want a hotdog now. also mayo and ketchup is best topping, and onions
>>
>>532397960
A lot of the bigger venues are starting to ban outside food and drinks. And they have security pat you down before you enter. So yeah, the best option is to eat a meal before going to the game. Showing up hungry to a sporting event in the US now might just lead you to bankruptcy.
>>
>>532383861
This is why I stopped going to hockey games and started going to lacrosse... Exact same arena. Exact same seat for 25$ not 250 and the beer that's 20$ the night before is now 5

If you factor in the ingredients, cooking the hotdog/bread, electricity cost for storage it probably costs less than $4.50 to produce that hotdog which means it’s a 1000% cost increase.
