There are a lot of theories going around that the US will lose no longer be a superpower, or the the US "empire" collapse, none of this true. The US has definitely lost power relative to other powers and Trump has undoubtably caused it lose more, but this isn't nearly the end.First, the Pentagon already know the US is losing power and putting in place measures to mitigates this. They're trying to get NATO and Europe and Japan in particular, to begin investing more militarily because the Pentagon knows it can no longer handle Russia and China a the same time.Second, even if the US lost everything, it cannot be assaulted, which makes it a world power by default. Even China can never really be a world power because Russia, India and Japan have it surrounded, whereas the US is free as long as its imports can't be cut off.So I wouldn't count on the end of US global dominance, even of it was completely defeated in Iran. That would still be more of Europe's problem than the US's.
>>532406742Well duh. We still have a good 20 years worth of bubbas clocking in to their MiC jobs every morning come hell or high water, where they will get whatever done they are paid to do. After that last crop retires though idek. This new generation, myself included, does not give a fuck.
>>532406979Probably best for you as a "bubba clocking in" that the Pentagon and political class does lose power, because then you can bully them easier. Britain became a much nicer place to live after it lost its empire for that reason.
>>532406742>imports cut offThe old heads tell me a story from the 80s McDonnell Douglas had a contingency plan for their St. Louis site that in theory with some retooling and Monsantos help they could be completely cut off from the rest of the country, but still be able to import raw ore from downstate on river barge and fly out fully functioning f-15s. Everything from computer chips to cockpit glass they could manufacture in St. Louis by existing firms. Most of those firms are gone now though. Monsanto sold of all of their sites to Bayer and ICM.Fun fact: 95% of the explosives used by the IDF are manufactured in a former Monsanto site in south St. Louis. Only time cops have ever hassled me in my 34 years of living here was one night when I was taking pictures of the plant for a college art class project. Didn’t even know what it was
>>532407481Imports being cut off isn't a problem in a real, physical sense - there's more than enough resourses in the US. The real problem is that if everything was manufactured in the US for the US, how are the rich supposed to continue getting more profits if the workers can strangle production, which they could do without imports?
>>532406742There is a huge info Champaign to make everyone doubt the US and the narrative around its current actions and system. And its also been very popular to critique it as in you get a lot of views if you do so. There is almost no good takes on /pol/ about the US Iran situation
Didn't read, and don't care. Just here to say Infinite is a good album. Bye.

>>532406742They wanted the EU to handle russia and the new abraham alliance to handle iran while they focus exclusively on china but neither are playing ball so now they are stuck paying for ukraine and fighting iran.
