Congress members that have received funding from members of the Israeli lobby received money to go along with this. Israel gets to hold the Middle East hostage with their illegal nuclear arsenal. In theory, the U.S. lets Israel handle the Middle East so we can shift attention to war with China. But that assumes that Israel is actually our ally, is capable of managing the Middle East, the U.S. has the manufacturing base to go to war with China, and this war with Iran will succeed. It likely will not and get us kicked out of the Middle East. This is our Suez Canal moment.
