Americans now launch JASSM-ERs from May 2025 batch. Another missile was shot down by IRGCs AD.

The US is currently committing nearly its entire JASSM-ER inventory - pre-war stock of 2,300 - to the Iran campaign, drawing from Pacific and all global stockpiles, also from Bolanda aka Poland where these missiles were supposed to be used against Russian A2AD and command centers in scenario of war. Only 425 functional missiles are projected to remain afterward, with 75 unserviceable, raising concerns over full depletion and very slow replenishment

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-04-04/us-deploys-bulk-of-stealthy-long-range-missile-for-iran-war

JASSM-ER production bottlenecks include sole-source Williams F107 turbofan engines, complex stealth materials/RAM, infrared seekers, and limited skilled labor/supply chains. Scheduled 2026 output: only 396 missiles. JASSM-ER relies on rare earth magnets (neodymium, dysprosium, samarium-cobalt) for actuators, guidance, seekers, and control surfaces - processed/refined almost exclusively in China (90%+ global capacity). Export curbs create bottlenecks.

This new FP article explains situation on tungsten

https://foreignpolicy.com/2026/04/02/trump-iran-defense-tungsten-rare-earth-china-supply-chain/

It details how Iran conflict munitions rapidly deplete US tungsten stocks (used in armor-piercing rounds, rocket nozzles, missile components). US mines none commercially (last mine closed >10 years ago). China dominates global supply. Prices surged >500%. Replenishment: up to 10 years.

what else should they do with them?
they are meant to be used in wars and they do a good job in attacking mission critical objectives.

They rarely shoot down missiles because their AD systems are very limited. They excel in shooting down long range drones like Hermes and Reaper, and jets/helis that violate their airspace but not missiles (except of cruise ones sometimes if lucky). Iranians take missiles/bunker busters "on face". Their only defence against them is decoys and fast repairs.

This is a minor issue, as they don't have access to our parts catalog but why even give the enemy free information whatsoever? I am actually at a loss here.

>>
>>532473560
I've kind of come to the realization that literally everyone ensouled hates America deep down and Americans are just in various stages of denial about it.

Iran will probably get buttfucked hard but the reaction from the american public to it is startlingly different from just 20 years ago for the same thing. One day everyone just sort of wakes up no matter how hard they try not to. Then all they see are shameless opportunists and Jews occupying and destroying everything and everyone to stay on top. If they can't do it with multiculturalism they'll just do it with white cultists. It's always the same exact group of people bringing out the absolute worst in us.

>>
>>532479967
You are wrong xD My photo is a wreckage of a recent-production AGM-158 JASSM. The debris section is large and heavy-looking (long fuselage segment with substantial internal structure). TALD is tiny in comparison. The intact panel clearly shows MFR CAGE CODE: OXYD8, MISSILE, GUIDED, AGM-158, and JASSM-specific NSN/PN codes. These are standard markings for JASSM cruise missile, not TALD which has completely different manufacturer, nomenclature, and no such codes. Visible jet engine turbine, wiring harnesses and stealthy composite airframe fragments are consistent with JASSM turbofan-powered design. TALD is mostly unpowered (glider) or has a very small turbojet in improved version, nothing like the large engine section shown on my photo.
>>
>>532479785
>why would they leave the part number on a fucking missile

This is a TALD. aka tactical air launched decoy. The numbers, assuming they are actually on the ones in use, would serve as nothing more than a "haha" to really rub it in that the decoy worked as designed.
War is ugly, period, but BS (like this thread) is uglier.

JASSMs are powered by solid-fuel rockets, the APU mechanism is a series of dime-sized turbines, it's not whatever is in that picture.

Why are there like 10 threads at the same time in which the OP claims to know what batch a bunch of JASSMs are from?

Prior to the Iran operation, the U.S. has never used a single Extended Range JASSM. Those were first commissioned in 2014 and have just been collecting dust. There is no "May 2025 production run" for JASSM-ER.

That's not the issue, tungsten is desired for tools cause it's harder than my cock seeing oil prices. There are no cheap alternatives, it's either tungsten, high strength steel alloys or diamonds. DU is about 100x "softer" than tungsten. Armor and munitions are a negligible use of tungsten globally, and they're consumed much slower tok

DU remains limited to kinetic penetrators, not heat-critical parts. Scaling is blocked by physics and no fkn moronic troll can change it xD

Pic rel is Polands Rapid Dragon program that integrates palletized JASSMs with C-130 fleet xD. Airdropped pallets (stabilized by parachutes) sequentially release JASSM-ER cruise missiles from unmodified cargo aircraft, turning transports into standoff strike platforms without modifications. Poland has trained on it since 2022 and plans initial operational capability. It enables launching swarms consisted of 12 JASSMs, just like from strategic bombers. But it is not bombers, only old Herculeses xD

NOOOOOO ONLY CHYNA HAS TUNGSTIEN

VIETNAM HAPPENS TO EXPORT MANY METRIC TONS OF TUNGSTEIN EVERY YEAR
PLENTY FOR JASSMS

DID YOU KNOW VIETNAM IS CURRENTLY AT WAR WITH CHYNA OVER FISH
EXPANSIONIST CHYNA THINKS IT OWNS ALL OF ITS NEIGHBORS TERRITORIAL WATERS
VIETNAM DOES NOT AGREE
>>
>>532490939
Vietnam produces only 4% of global tungsten (vs. Chinas 80%+), with limited refining capacity. Vietnamese output relies on Chinese processing. US DoD requires high-purity military-grade tungsten with full traceability meanwhile Vietnam lacks scale and advanced processing

>>532490939
why should we produce our own tungsten if we can buy it cheaper from china?
north america has a lot of tungsten
meanwhile only one specific region in the united states is known to have the pure quarts required to make the most advanced microchips. The US has more of a natural resource advantage than china, china is just willing to extract theirs for cheap and we are willing to buy it.

>>532492172
BECAUSE CHYNA IS ASSHOE

VIETNAM HATES CHYNA AS DOES KOREA AND TAIWAN THE LIST GOES ON
ITS BECAUSE CHYNA WANTS TO TAKE OVER THE REGION
CHYNAS NEIGHBORS DONT AGREE

hormuz is only closed due to a rich white mans mistrust of arabs wrt committing insurance fraud...there are no practical iranian air or naval assets to control the straight with beyond mines. it is purely the fear that abdul and samar will collaborate to start a fire on a deck, spam twitter with pics of the burn mark, and demand 2 billion+ insurance payout. the seething thirdies on this board keep seeking to imply iran has control of the strait or any meaningful force projection therein when it in fact does not. this is the tiresome, loud, brown, thirdie cope that has plagued us at least since the russian smo started, went buck-wild from oct7th, and slowed only after CHiP and PHG threads vanished, or anytime gaza was w/o electricity due to jewish bombardment.

the loud brown sound is starting to draw aggro.

US has no active domestic mines since 2015, stockpiles are depleted, and DoD faces a 2027 ban on Chinese/Russian tungsten in military gear. Disruptions risk armor-piercing ammo, missiles and semiconductors. The US has no commercial-scale advanced tungsten processing like APT smelting/refining to military-grade purity. The last domestic APT plant was closed decades ago. China dominates sophisticated chemical processing tech and capacity required for high-purity tungsten in weapons and chips. Current US efforts are small pilot/new projects still long years from matching Chinas scale and expertise.

Spruce Pine is not critical either. Chinas advanced purification and synthetic quartz technologies upgrade lower-grade HPQ to 4N8 purity. This meets good enough specs for modern chip production and enables defect-free silicon ingot growth in crucibles with acceptable yields and service life for advanced nodes, including many 2nm-class processes
>>
>>532492873
You are partially right. Insurance fears and fraud risks amplify disruptions, indeed. However, Iran possesses real asymmetric capabilities, thousands of naval mines, anti-ship missiles, armed speedboats, drones, midget submarines etc. Iranians proved many times that they can destroy tankers if they want. So nope, it is not only about insurance xD

The US and Israel commit war crimes all the time by hitting civilian infrastructure of Iran, out of desperation. American-Israeli duo is literally the last one on this planet that could lecture others about international law. Both the US and Israel are rogue states xD

YET IRAN SHOOTS AT THE BOATS
VERY ODD

FYI IT WAS A MILITARY BUILDING ON A MILITARY BASE
IRAN IS SO THOROUGHLY INTO TERRORISM THEY PUT THEIR SCHOOLS IN THEIR MILITARY BUILDINGS
MAYBE IRAN NEEDS TO BE DEMILITARIZED ALREADY
>>

We unironically should take a page from Iran's book and just start fucking them with cheap drones.

Using the expensive slow to build shit benefits the military industrial complex; but its not getting the job done.

>Retard here. Is this hard somehow or do this things fly slow and are easy to intercept?

It flies at low altitude at about 250-280 m/s. Much harder to intercept than a propeller drone by also enormously much more expensive and rare. You need at minimum a computer aimed autocannon or a man portable surface to air missile.

3D metal printing isn't fast. Probably 2-3 days to produce a large turbine like that. Can't really tell scale.
The "sintered" metal of 3D printing isn't typical sintered metal. It's nearly full strength (laser sintered is microwelded). That wouldn't be an issue. Accuracy would be. They aren't terribly accurate and would require machining for tight tolerances.
