the US is looking to stabilize the Middle East long term under the Abraham Accords, the cornerstone of which was built on dealing with Iran. The Arab nations actually want the Iran problem solved, not just Israel. And neither Israel nor the UAE, etc have an interest in un-solving a problem if it might actually be solvable at this point in time. The US in turn after Venezuela, Iran, and likely Cuba next (and Cuba will be a cakewalk to deal with in comparison, in execution and domestically) will be in a geopolitically insane position coming out of it with a good handle on its own hemisphere and the mid east as a functional whole. If negotiations actually settle somewhere decent with Iran America will be in its strongest position in its history. Nobody, for some reason, is talking about the proposal for America to get in on letting Iran toll the strait in exchange for a waiver + a cut of the profits. You want to know why oil didn't jump to actually insane prices, it's because of the moneymaking potential long term with a settled Iran question. America is going to be absolutely rolling in cash with complete dominance of the world oil market and good relations with a functional middle east.
