Whouldn’t south Italy be better off independent? It can maintain close ties to US because of the large diaspora and not to follow the destructive EU politics. People there experience extreme racism even within their own country. And in Germany they are all viewed right away like a second tier people, all in mafia and good for nothing except working in a restaraunt. Despite being literally a birthplace of the word Italy and its culture.
