I moved here from Germany because, for example, I can shop for groceries at ALDI and LIDL without ever running into a mudslime. They simply don't exist in the Western Algarve. The problems of Lisbon and Porto are far away.
You have no idea how relaxing this really is unless you have suffered their presence in the numbers we have in Germoney.
