For two years I’ve been working part time at aldi for $31AUD/hr here in coastal bunningsville. Running stock is good physical work and passes time quickly. Anything that involves interacting with customers is like beating your head against a brick wall. Customer demographics consist mostly of cool old people, old people who don’t know what planet they are on, cool locals, insane locals and the filler self absorbed mindless assholes that ruin your day. We live in 2026 and we have quite a few advantages that cave men didn't have. If you fuck off into the woods with some planning, you can equip yourself with durable, waterproof clothing and kit yourself with hikers camping gear. you can hike up public trails and pitch a tent in national parks. There are a surprising number of hippy types who already do spend a lot of time hiking trials and playing in parks. So the community aspect is there too. They can help you out and get you started on hobo life.If you are willing to ignore some laws you could use a gun for hunting and then you have easy access to deer, and then if you know how to make jerky and stuff, you could provide provisions for yourself to last a winter. A good water filter and some water storage is handy too. A lot of pre planning for living in the wild as a free range human, can really make the transition easier.
