This reminds me of the movie Transcendence mostly the end scene let me elaborate johnny built a no no wifi/cell zone outside for his stupid wife they defeat the bad guy by injecting it with a virus it was in the water/rain anyways at the end hes walking the zone he built and looks down and they imply that because the water made it there it couldn't communicate and get the virus so the ai survived.
tldr: even if you don't have wifi your neighbors will so unless you shield the whole house you cannot escape care about things you can change.
