If Artemis II succeeds, is it actually the start of a new space race driven by politics and global competition or just a symbolic return to the Moon without the same urgency, vision, and stakes that defined the Apollo era?
>>532849190India aleady beat america in the space race ot landing on the moon, india is upserpower noe
>>532849190Donald Trump is replaced by ai
I CAN'T AFFORD GROCERIES
Global debt market will have collapsed long prior(meaning: before the next 5 years elapse)
>>532849419Are you poor? Do you spend all your money on crack cocaine? Nobody else is having problems affording groceries, it's just you.
>>532849190It's all AI and actors on a set. There's no escaping this kiked up hell world, space is fake and gay.
>>532849657prove it
>>532849616nobody gives a fuck about some niggers playing spaceman when theyre getting raped at the pump and checkout
>>532849190Next mission will be to Uranus. Are you excited?A big rocket for uranus.
>>532849190Is it profitable to be funding space missions? If not then spending tens of billions on space missions is just a vanity project
>>532849190i'm more concerned about the stench when they open the capsule and get hit full face with the mixed odeur of piss, shit and week old unwashed BBC
>>532849190Space race is over, Russia and the US won, didn't matter. Russia faltered by spending money it didn't have and the US is, unless there a major shift in 2028, going to be a smoldering corpse of itself in less than a decade. With that said, it's more than symbolic if SpaceX can also get there and establish a permanent presence, showing the private sector may now have the ability to do tourism, mining, science, and whatnot. Artemis is hopefully a jump start.
>>532849190I think thats the hope but no one fucking cares about this stupid shit. America is hoping they can fake their way to another win since they are getting blown the fuck out everywhere else.
>>532849190>No more Space Shuttle>No more 747Bros...
>>532849190Venus exploration will start the space race and no one has any plan for it you so still a long wait to be had until it starts
>>532850003The shuttle was a really cool project and looked awesome, but it was one of the least cost efficient ways for getting to space.
>>532849301true
Who the fuck caresWe're about to enter WW3 and no one can afford shit I think we have more important things to worry about than some fake ass gay ass space shit
>>532850203Maybe so, but it was emblematic of another place and time. I still remember the international orange booster tank. Also RIP Challenger and Columbia.
>>532849190The ladder.
>>532849190>hes right behind me isnt he
>the moon is almost to germany
>>532849190its literally all to put a Trump Moonbase up there, AKA a Trump Tower Buffet and Casino
>>532849190Heckin space! It’s so crazy when you’re looking up from earth as you go 66,600 mph around the sun!
>>532851327I wonder if these people just don't believe in the existence of cape Canaveral, where these things launched fromMaybe they don't believe in the existence of Florida in general
>>532849190No
>>532849190they will shut it down and use starship or something else. the space shuttle had a 3% chance each flight of exploding with those big solid boosters which is sort of insane way to launch. they cannot be throttled or shut off. artemis was about keeping the shuttle supply chain intact the last 20 years.
>>532849190>space Shuttle is actually just a giant dirigible.
>>532849190It wouldn't be a new space race; China and Russia already have the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) project under way. What the mutts don't have is a miniature nuclear power source such as that used by the Russian Buruvestnik cruise missile. This will be very useful during those long lunar nights.
>>532851327every thought you have is insignificant anon, deal with it
