The purchasing power of the US dollar has gone to shit since I was born. What the fuck.

Debt is going exponential now, in less than 10 years it'll be 85+. This country won't survive that long though.

its going to get worse. They are going to have to keep printing more money to pay for the ballooning deficit spending. In the future you will need 2 million dollars for a Big Mac.

This is bullshit.
In 99' i was 15 working as a construction gopher for $8/hr and could afford a 1bdr apt.
saying inflation is "this number" when food and housing have doubled multiple times is bullshit.

I remember seeing this picture in a history book when I was a kid in school. I remember the teacher telling us that in Weimar Germany, the Germans had to resort to burning their money to keep warm as their money had become worthless. At the time I couldn't understand how their money could become so abundant yet useless that they could set it on fire.
Today, I understand, but I wish I didn't.

Bullshit. Gas was around 50 cents a gallon, now it's $5. That's 10 fucking folds.

It's a little more complicated than just a linear increase in dollar amount across all products
Like for example you might spend $1000+ on a computer in 1995
But you're not gonna spend $2000 on one today unless you have specific need for a really high performance machine
Commodities increase or decrease in value on an individual basis
