Americans really clung and still cling to the Donald Trump cult of personality because in 2016 he campaigned as a racist /pol/ shitposter who was going to put corrupt politicians in jail and no matter where in the world you were, if you were a nationalist or a free speech advocate or politically incorrect or any combination of such things you were captured by the rambunctious displays and the bold rhetoric and for a brief period in time the United States was the envy of people like us who wanted a chaotic unknown quantity to come in, kick the doors down and piss off the establishment. But anyone who's been alive long enough to not need their parents' help to wipe anymore has seen this go around more than a few times already and knew to be tentative about the whole situation. 2016 campaign Trump allowed lardsharts to feel "based" and like they really were the larger than life badasses they presented themselves as to the rest of the world, until the orange retard ended up being just like any other business-as-usual uniparty president taking millions from Jewish lobbyists and sending his fat retarded golems to go die in another forever war for Israel that he himself started at their behest. The only people still defending this guy who aren't bots or paid shills are those types of lards who are scared of losing face, who need to desperately cling to the notion that their gay banana republic country is actually awesome and their president is the bomb but in actuality he's no better than another Bush or a Clinton. It doesn't matter how much this administration betrays its campaign promises and its voters, the dregs still tenuously clinging to this movement will gracelessly argue in favour of every broken promise and every betrayal, balking at the insinuation that politicians could betray you at all and begging for more pressure on the boot on their neck. Even Obama had the gumption to defy Israel on a few things.
