Did Arma 3 predict the future? Drone warfare, NATO vs Iran/Russia and China. Strait closed and NATO is in economic decline just as in the game.
Had so much fun with that game. Must've put in 500 hours over the years. I've been playing Reforger and it's solid. Tons of servers to play in, and the mods self-download and install when you join a server. Comms are good, too, with lots of shit-talking and teamwork. You can kill an enemy player, then take their radio, dial-in their frequency, and mess with them. My only complaint is that the Russian team almost always performs better than nato; nato teams don't usually cooperate and everybody wants to lone-wolf, whereas russ is almost always executing a plan
>>532863677Just based off your post probably yeah
>>532863677I mean they did predict ukraine war in arma 2
>>532863677Bohemia Interactive literally makes simulations for glowniggers and goyim to train in so of course they "predicted" it. They program it in the way they are told to because that's how they operate.
>Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim), a BAE Systems company and part of OneArc, is a global software leader providing high-fidelity simulation and training tools for defense and civilian organizations. Known for the Virtual Battlespace (VBS) software, BISim enables over 500,000 personnel annually to train in virtual environments, supporting U.S. Army and international forces with products like VBS4, VBS Blue IG, and TerraTools.
Too bad the AI ruins the entire fucking game. Can't even make AI drive around a fucking corner without them somehow managing to explode the car.
Did Use of Weapons predict drone torture?

the lore in the arma 3 timeline is eerie too. the overall “bad guy” in the story that no one plays is a third world iranian/chinese/israeli version of NATO. so, NATO is fighting this Canton Protocol Strategic Alliance Treaty (CSAT). it’s set during 2035 and you fight on greek satellite islands. too bad no one really plays the built in story and just plays the custom content but yeah
>>532863677Im living the DayZ timeline. Dying of thirst, hunger, barely players with random zombie attacks often.

>>532865154I love that book like you wouldn't believe, although, Consider Phlebas e Player of Games did grew on me with that. Read Excession last year. Had some bangers, too.>The ship transmitted a copy of what in an earlier age might have been called its soul to the other craft. It then experienced a strange sense of release and of freedom while it completed its preparations for combat. Now it felt a strange, at once proud and yet humbling affinity with the warriors of all the species through every age who had bade their lives, their loves, their friends and relations goodbye, made their peace with themselves and with whatever imagined entities their superstitions demanded, and prepared to die in battle.>It fell upon the third wave of oncoming ships like a raptor upon a flock

>>532865417The issue is while hypothetically this is true, the USA in reality lacks the military and political will to actually achieve this anytime soon.Maybe in a perfect scenario the USA would occupy greenland easily, but this is not the reality we live in where the USA is deeply divided, politically inept, corrupt, incompetent, and it’s military is proven to be ineffective strategically.
>>532863677you niggers are something else. drones have been in games since late 00's and in real lafe WW2
>>532875924Apart from the first three, I only read Excession and I think two stories of State of the Art. They were good. Dunno about the rest.
>>532865784>>532871184Damn. Making me want to open up the game. As someone mentioned already the ai sucks but maybe its because im booming out or tired of competitive stuff but i just want to go around and enjoy some gun play>>532874405Look at forums looking for groups the coop factor can make up for all the bad in the game.
frontlines came out in 2008 and featured a bunch of drone warfare >In 2005, a global energy crisis, known as “The Long Emergency,” began when global peak oil extraction was reached. This is coupled with the start of a worldwide avian influenza outbreak in 2009, a massive global recession in 2012, and with uncontrollable climate change displacing millions. Following a three-way nuclear war between Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia that renders the Middle East largely uninhabitable in 2014
>>532863677From MIC marketing data the Navy has been asking for drones since the 80's.
>>532863677It's a pretty obvious guess if you're not a retard. What, did you think any future wars from 2013's perspective would've been something totaly random like Canada vs Australia?

>>532865062Seeing how the russians fight in Ukraine has made me rage a lot less at arma ai because the russians act no different in many clips. Don't get me wrong, I have no idea how war is like in person, but I'm surprised at how disoriented and unaware of their surroundings soldiers can seem.
>>532863677I kid you not, when I was playing arma the most frequently in my life and had the jrss sound mod, on July 4 I had arma ptsd because I reflexively kept wanting to smash the Z key and it was freaking me the fuck out. My computer wasn't even on and my keyboard wasn't in from of me. I used be a little speculative about real ptsd until then and felt really bad because a freaking video game gave me slight ptsd or something and I couldn't control my subconscious reaction despite being fully aware it was just fireworks
