>4yo daughter overheard that Americans are threatening the Pope
>We must help him!
>How? You want us to hide him from Americans in our cellar or something? Heh heh.
>He can sleep on our couch!
2 months after my kid was born Russia invaded Ukraine and people in here feared that alliance between European countries will shatter and Russians will eat as all piece by piece.
4 years later Europe is united as never before and instead of fearing Russian hordes my kid fears that Americans will get the Pope - probably similar to how some other little girls in Scandinavia fear that Americans will invade Greenland.

How will it all look in next few years? China vs US vs Europe vs Russia - who will be the boogeyman to whose kids?

this is a serious question, will other world leaders "recognize" the "new" government after the mid-terms and the new president after 2028 as different than its predecessors? that sounds retarded and obvious at first, but for what reason would they hold a grudge and not at least change their foreign policy towards the US? or is there just less faith in how the US functions overall regardless of what government comes in and out?

Biggest shock to many Europeans (even pro-Trump) was how Trump cuts himself from everything what happened before his 2nd term. Like that "I didn't start war in Ukraine, it's not my problem" - despite that it's literally in US' interesterests to fight Russia and even Trump himself started arming Ukrainians during his 1st term.

Assumption is that democratic governments represent their people, so they'll respect most decissions made by their predecessors who were also elected by the people. Trump is different and he broke this rule, but before his 2nd term everyone was assuming that he'll at least do foreign policy according to US' interests - and e.g. sending retarded Witkoff to talk with Putin is in nobody's interests (maybe Russia's).

I never in my life seen every European coutry united in foreign policies. With what happened to Europe from Russia (energy blackmail, hybrid war) and from US (tarrifs, open threats) it happened: everybody starts arming against Russia and nobody joined US in it's jewish war. With how slow it takes for European countries to switch policies, I don't think much will change after midterms or even if next president is a democrat - there are too many gears moving in European machine to make instant switches (like more autocratic countries do - Trump's America included).
