>>532876991My hope is invested in the idea that Trump has made such an absolutely disastrous fool of himself and America that he's essentially killed rightwing platforms around the world for decades. He's pulled back the curtain on a lot of longstanding rightwing myths and revealed them for the poison that they are, so with any luck we will see a hard rejection of those platforms in the future by enough people that conservatism will have to evolve to survive.As the right is forced to evolve, the left will adapt as well as the middle shifts position. Whatever the new status quo is has to be better than the shit we have now.
