I have a hero, but this is just a larger trend of generally killing the spirit. Its more than simply removing the idea of having a hero but removing the very idea of the national mythology which every nation and people has and replacing it with consumerism and empty materialist bullshit. That is part of why we dont get decent westerns anymore. It all has to be either remakes of older material or cynical subversive nonsense which has to go out of its way to say how a awful the westward expansion and settlement was. So the idea of having a semi-fantastical take on all of that with heros and villains ends up being dragged through the mud as "problematic".
