By HS I learned to step in line, I realized my middle school principal was right in that things that were once considered normal were no longer acceptable in a post columbine, post-9/11 world. At age 12, in a bid to make my fathers life a living hell(long story), I set my middle school’s bathroom on fire, which was not punished(but could have been) after the fire chief interviewed me via phone, concluding “boys will be boys” and that I had learned my lesson (I had). Amidst that, the school tested my IQ, as I had been a problem before, and were astonished to find that I had an IQ of ~168; I had to retake the test the next day, which yielded a slightly higher result.
