In China there is twice as many dwellings than households. Sadly, real estate will never ever be allowed to go back to affordable values. Just look at the 2008 crash, brought on by what was, in the grand scheme of things, a slight correction. And even IF there were another correction, you're never going to effectively be able to "buy the dip" because that correction will come alongside an economic depression, you getting laid off, skyhigh interest rates, and banks that won't be willing to lend to your goy ass anyway. So on one hand, nothing will ever be fixed economically because the economy can't allow it. The only way things will get better is if the federal funds rate goes up to make banks back out of residential and focus only on commercial real estate where there is more room for profit and competition where banks competing for maximum financing profit wont mess up peoples lives with financial volatility of their homes but will actually increase the overall net worth of society by making commercial real estate profitable again to invest in by raising interest the interest rates and kick starting the commercial economy.
