real world is so incredibly boring and uncomfortable

Video games are limited though. Take grand theft for example. Only so much you can do in this coded world. But real life? The sky is the limit. Granted video games are easier than real life but a lot less fulfilling

Learning a skill in real life has been more fulfilling than any game ever was for me. And I used to game 16/17 hours a day.

What skill did you learn?

Only when you are broke and can't travel and fuck bitches. There are lots of fun things to do but you need money. have you ever tried Skydiving? Do it once and it'll change your life. It's costs like $300.

The fact that putting in effort means reward is what makes video game more enjoyable. The current world turns effort into apathy. Even just 20 years ago effort meant a better life, sadly today and tomorrow aren't yesterday.

This is true.

But going around shooting black people in the city would get me arrested. In GTA I can easily get away from the cops

Learning hacking is 10x more fun than vidya. I was just modding all day anyway might as well mod other software. And I enjoy it. I make my own lession every day and instead of playing boring vidya or jerking off I practice hacking my virtual boxes. I can play all the aaa games on ultra in 2 clicks. I try and I get bored like its a chore. I make then other chore thays fun and I do that now.

Life will never be as good as 2016 when Planetside 2 released the construction update. Everyone building massive ant hive bases, then spawning 50 fucking vehicles and mobbing on other bases. Shit was better than sex. Fuck everything today.

For every fantastical or science fiction element you see in video games, all it really does it reflect back on the reality the developers were thinking about when they made it.
>The Reapers from Mass Effect
>Machine Creatures from long before humans and even the Dinos roamed the earth.
>Killed every spacefaring civilization and return every 50.000 years to wipe the galaxy clean again
>Huge tapestry of entire alien civilizations
But
>The aliens are just caricatures of mythology and human history like the Roman Empire, the rift between the West and Russia/Soviet (Batarians), immigrants who were driven from their homeland like Jews (Quarians).
The Reapers are just an allegory for society
>"You will develop along the paths we desire"
That's literally how governments treat you
>"You will exist because we allow it, and end because we demand it."
Also true
>"Every civilization rises and the apex of their glory they are threatened with extinction."
>"We return with 50.000 years in between to harvest the galaxy"
Again, that's literally what happens but with century instead of 50.000 years, and is entirely about depopulating societies so they can rearise because the Great Lie about progressivism is that there's anything to progress to, but an overpopulated Earth with so much individual liberty that people have nowhere left to go to, and nobody can thrive individually if everyone have rights and unions and individual freedom to resist any form of governance.

Everything in the premise of your fantastical video game is just a reflection of the world we live in. People who come up with ideas are always projecting.

So you can eat your own head whole in real life, but not in a video game?
>>
>>533171657
There's even more limitations in real life. Depending on what games I decide to play, today I could be the leader of an interstellar empire this morning, a pro athlete in the afternoon and a manager of an amusement park in the evening. In real life you generally get locked into a single career path/lifestyle and never get to really change it.

videogames can't offer you the one thing you really want though, which is to be validated in your worth and identity by other human beings.

humans are social animals. you cannot be happy alone.

(with some very, very rare exceptions who have malformed brains)

It's still just pixels. It's not real. There is no real emotion after the first impressions you get with games. You are dopamine addicted into fantasy. It's time to live for real or perish in the sands of time.

a scandinavian says this. when was the last time you went outside? 4 years ago?
scandis always have this therapy slop to say but never have done any of it themselves, I'm sure you've been in a basement playing minecraft 24/7. show us your world bitch.

Honestly. I have been making a big deal out of it for years. Now when Im old and dont care about anything I just did it. For fun and pressure free its my hobby. Same like vidya except I have more fun in my head with me. I just downloaded parrot OS, bought a book linux for hackers, notebook for writing because when you write you remmember and I use gemini and claude to mentor me. I am at finding exploits stage now. I also do some basic bash command tutorials on youtube. But all stress free I try to enjoy learning and tryong and its hard so when you make something work I get that I am proud feeling which I almost forgot how good it feels.

Video games are dull and circumscribed compared to real life.
>>
>>533171606
It's not. It's only boring because people have made it boring through laws and regulations.

You know all those people playing survival games? I bet if they could they would love to run into the forest in real life and start chopping down trees to sell them for money. They can't do that though because everything in the modern day anyways requires licenses and permission in the modern day. You can't even run a lemonade stand without getting into trouble with the law.

THAT is why people play video games instead. You can't do anything in real life without being rich and having lawyers. The only things you can do are new niches that governments haven't shat up with muh rules and regulations yet.
>>
>>533172862
nigga you can't chop trees down because destroying forests is bad karma. home faggots already have enough resin casted coffee tables to snort coke off. survival game faggots would become farmers if they didn't have to get looted by property taxes.

>>533172188
>Everything in the premise of your fantastical video game is just a reflection of the world we live in.
Yes but in the video game, you can overcome it all, there are clear goals, so you can win in the end, in the world we live in, you will eventually just die and become the dirt future generations walk on regardless of your actions.

>Depending on what games I decide to play, today I could be the leader of an interstellar empire this morning, a pro athlete in the afternoon and a manager of an amusement park in the evening.
You basically just described Elon Musk's typical day: Run spacex in the morning, get to the top of the leaderboards in whatever random esports you want to conquer this week in the afternoon, then manage X in the evening.
>>
>>533171606
Yeah wait til your whole world collapses around you because you’re “uncomfortable” and then you get bored of the games as well. Your own little personal hell. One day you wont even have a device, games or an internet connection. Then you will truely be bored. And so uncomfortable that your discomfort will resemble death, then become death itself. But hey its your life.

Except youre not. And your whole life is built on somebody’s work. So you’re a charlatan. And also a pitiful individual who’s becoming delusional. One disaster away from having the entire rug pulled out from under you. Better pray your health does not fail or next you’ll be roleplaying an inpatient, then a corpse.

1. We all share trees by marking them and you're regulated by who chops you.
2. If you do it, everyone does it
3. Everyone has an axe. Some people have saws. What now? You're going to end up with a rule.
