Teachers start off with low salaries but get very consistent raises, often breaking $100k by middle career. Quality doesn't matter, just longevity. Raises are almost always set by schedule, not results. Public employee salaries are almost always public information so if you're curious about your local school system, you should be able to look it up online.>two masters degreesThat was moronic. Many states offered bonuses for getting a master degree, but it was pool based. Once 99% of teachers rushed to get an online University of Phoenix M.Ed. degree, the pool ended up split into too many pieces to matter. Also I've never heard of a bonus of any type for multiple masters degrees and am not sure why she thought it would make her a better teacher. In general teachers get master degrees from diploma mills, so there's not much real value in them. It's just more credentialism.
