Could someone explain how the hell Russia can't win against Ukraine? Now apparently, they're losing ground against Ukraine. It's crazy to think that Trump pulled all US support from Ukraine and Russia still can't defeat them. It's also been almost 5 years since this war started lol.

>>533188807It's called defense in depth. The territory itself is meaningless until the conclusion of the conflict, what matters is production, logistics, and manpower. If you let the enemy attack, advance, stretch logistics, waste equipment and manpower over a bit of dirt they won't be able to hold they'll be easier to counter attack and you'll have a greater advantage in the long run. Summer's coming soon, prime time to attack (Dirt is firmer, better weather), and support and resources are being diverted to the middle east and dwindling overall, it's better to hold off and build up production for a better timed push with greater advantage, focus on attacking logistics for now and cut off overextended units on the frontline. There's a reason the EU is pushing for mobilization, Russia is at full war economy mobilization and without US support Ukraine's front will eventually collapse, when it does it's Joever.
